Receives Scholarship Money from Moose Permit Auction.
Bryant Pond, ME - May 11, 2005 - The Maine Conservation
School at Bryant Pond has received confirmation from the
Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife that the
winning bidders have made payment for their 2005 Maine Moose
Hunt Permits.
Each year, the Commissioner of the Department is authorized
to auction off 5 Moose Hunt permits, the proceeds are to
be distributed to a youth conservation education program.
This year's auction raised over $50,000, which will be awarded
as scholarships to assist students attending Maine Conservation
School and receiving Hunter Safety certification (Conservation
Camp). These scholarships are awarded on a first-come first-served
basis for students between the ages of 10-14. Students may
only take advantage of the scholarship program one time.

For almost 50 years, the Maine Conservation School 's camp
