Maine Conservation

receives grant from Stephen & Tabitha King Foundation.
Bryant Pond, ME - May 25, 2005 - The Maine Conservation
School has received a $25,000.00 grant from the Stephen
& Tabitha King Foundation to improve and renovate camp
bunkhouses.
This year campers will be staying in improved facilities
at the Maine Conservation School Bryant Pond campus, thanks
to the generosity of the Kings. Improvements and renovations
have been underway since late last year and will be completed
before the start of the summer season.
"These improvements ensure that our campers have a safe,
comfortable and enjoyable experience. I would like to publicly
thank the Kings for their generosity and commitment to the
young people of Maine " says MCS Executive Director, Scott
Olsen.
The MCS Summer Camp season begins June 26 th and runs though
August 26 th . Programs vary from one to four weeks in length.
For almost 50 years, the Maine Conservation School 's camp
and school programs have introduced children and adults
to a unique blend of outdoor fun, environmental education,
and practical outdoor skills. Each year over 1000 young
people from across the state visit our campus.
