Our Mission:
The Maine Conservation School’s mission is to provide affordable, experiential education in conservation and in the development of outdoor skills, within a natural setting, for people of all ages and backgrounds.

For over 50 years (founded in 1956),the Maine Conservation School's camp and school programs have introduced children and adults to a unique blend of outdoor fun, environmental education, and practical outdoor skills.

Our Founding Director's Vision Statement:
"The ultimate purpose of our educational program is to instill in every individual an understanding of our dependence on natural resources, to arouse public conscience concerning them, and to stimulate public determination that the best conservation practices be followed". - Larry Stuart, 1957
